LAB INFORMATION

What equipment do you use at Kathinka Labs?

We use a variety of equipment to perform our lab analyses, including:

  • Anton Paar DMA 4500 with Alcoyzer Beer ME, PFD Unit, and Cbox QC
  • Eppendorf BioSpectrometer®
  • Hach Titralab® AT1000 Auto Titrator
  • Mobile Density Meter: MDM150 Liquid Density Meter BeerSense™
  • Sieve shaker
  • Friability Meter

Can I visit the lab?

Yes, you are welcome to visit our lab! Please contact Megan Maiolo-Heath at megan@kathinka-assoc.com to schedule a tour of our lab in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Is your lab TTB Certified?

Yes, Kathinka Labs is a TTB qualified lab and Mary Burge, Lab Director, is a TTB certified chemist per TTB Procedure 2010-1 for the purposes of export.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Who can I use for shipping?

 We reccomend you ship your samples using Fedex, UPS or DHL. USPS will NOT ship alcohol!

How many samples do I need to ship?

For beer and kombucha analysis, we require a minimum of two 12 ounce containers (i.e. bottles, cans) per lab analysis.

For grist analysis, we require a 1 pound sample of your grist. The grist sample can be sent in a zip lock bag.

How Do I Label My Package?

Please label your shipment of samples with the following:

  • “This side up”
  • “Sample(s) for Laboratory Analysis Only”
  • “FRAGILE”

How Do I Label My Samples?

Label your sample(s) with the codes provided in your confirmation email.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted by Kathinka Labs?

We accept the following payment types:

Is Your On-line Payment System Secure?

Yes, our payment system is operated by Stripe and uses state-of-the-art encryption and tokenization. They also monitor every transaction and manage sensitive payment data on Level 1 PCI certified servers. The Kathinka Labs website is also protected by a SHA-2 SSL Certificate.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Yes, we require every order to be associated with an account so we can give you the best customer service possible.

How Do I Track My Order?

You can track any order, at any time, by visiting the Order Tracking page on our website.
